A mini porcelain bud vase by Margaret Leach with a painterly decoration in tones of blue and red.
Born in 1918, Margaret Leach studied ceramics at Liverpool School of Art in the early 1930s, and would spend summers working at the Leach Pottery in St Ives, Cornwall. After leaving university, she began working at the Leach pottery in 1941. From 1946-1951, she spent time at the Barnhouse Pottery, Chepstow. Her works are held in collections at the V&A museum.
