A French table lamp attributed to French designer Charles Dudouyt, with a signature carved oak base, circa 1940s.

Charles Dudouyt (1885-1946) began his career as a woodworker, learning the craft from his father. After studying at the École Boulle in Paris, he began to design his own furniture and lighting in an Art Deco style, focusing on natural materials which he carved with simple, geometric forms.

The lamp is in good vintage condition with a good patina, there are two small drilled holes previously made to the base which have been filled in, please see photos.

The lamp is PAT tested and newly rewired with a twisted cord flex and UK plug.
