£66.00

Winchcombe Pottery was set up in 1926 by Michael Cardew who wanted to produce domestic pottery for everyday use. Ray Finch began working at the pottery in the 1930s, and took over the running of the pottery from Cardew in 1939. The business was interrupted by WW2 but started up again in 1945. In 1946, Finch purchased the business from Cardew. He ran the pottery until 1979 when he handed over to his son Michael. Finch continued to work up until his death in 2012.
