Harvest Jug by Mark Titchiner

Harvest Jug by Mark Titchiner

£125.00

A large harvest jug by British studio potter, Mark Titchiner, circa 1980s, embossed with wheat motifs.

Titchiner first began his career as a trainee thrower at Kingwood Pottery in Hampshire in 1971. He established his own workshop in Suffolk in 1982 with a focus on slip decorated earthenware. After a trip to New Zealand in the 1990s, he returned to England and began making glazed slipware and soda glazed stoneware, which now makes up the majority of his work.

The jug is in good condition, one small chip on the rim, with the potter’s mark stamped on the base.
